Monthly Studies

1st Saturdays @ 10:00am: "C.S.I. Pensacola." Confessional Sisters of Immanuel Pensacola is not a crime-scene drama. Instead, this is our Women's group that gathers to study the Book of Concord to learn more about what we believe as Lutherans and how our beliefs are founded upon Holy Scripture alone. The study concludes at noon with an option to go to lunch and share in Christian friendship with one another. (Meets in Church Library).

2nd Saturdays @ 10:00am: "Confessional Lutherans Training Group" (a.k.a. CONLUTRAGRU). This is a men's group that meets with the men from Redeemer Lutheran Church to study the Book of Concord, which explains the doctrines of Holy Scripture. The study concludes at noon. All are welcome to lunch at a local restaurant for hearty discussion and beverages. Due to our joint meetings, we rotate our location between Immanuel and Redeemer. Please use the "Contact Information" link and contact us to find out the location for that month.

Private Confession & Absolution

This gracious gift is available by appointment with the Pastor. If you have questions about this practice, we kindly suggest that you please reference the Book of Concord, especially the Small Catechism on Confession, the Augsburg Confession Articles 11 and 25, and the Smalcald Articles Part 3 Article 8. The Book of Concord may be found online and there is a link given to it under the "What We Believe" tab. The manner and theology in which we practice this as Lutherans is very distinct and different than the Roman Catholic Church. Never is private confession a matter of coercion or obligation.
